Simplicity

Pretty simple outfit today, I woke up with a massive stomach ache so I was very uncomfortable and needed an outfit that was flowy, comfortable, still business casual, and that if my stomach bloats you won’t see it.  Pretty much everything seen on me today is from many years ago.  I have a tendency to buy pieces that will last me more than just one season and I also keep everything I own and make it into something else, or donate it.

Monday Blue’s

I made it to the style gallery on Chictopia yet again!  This made me so happy this morning.  If any of my readers are fellow Chictopians that voted for me, THANK YOU!!!

For once I’m wearing blue for some Monday Blues!  It was another rainy day unfortunately so bright colors will make it so much better, plus it’s a Monday and most people if not all don’t like Monday’s.

Sadly, I might not be able to wear heels for a few months.  I am so sad about this because I went to see a physical therapist today for my knee and back so they said I will need to tone it down on the shoes.  Well what they don’t know won’t hurt them!  Plus, I’ve been wearing heels the whole time I’ve had to go to PT so I think I’ll be find, and I don’t walk around all day long working at an office.

Romp Around!

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday!

I wore this today because it’s comfortable and so easy to wear. The only thing I don’t like about rompers is you have to take off the whole thing just to go to the bathroom!

Safari with a tint of Jeffrey Campbell.

I wanted to take the time to talk about something that bothers me.  I work for an Asian company so of course I work with lots of Asians and in my opinion I find that the women are absolutely beautiful they have this soft elegance about them that just catches your attention.  My mentor and also my newly found friend talks to me about how growing up she was made fun of for being Asian, people would call her names and make fun of her appearance.  I’m Caucasian but was made fun of for being Polish, so even though I can blend in because of my appearance I was also the “dumb polish girl.”  Kids can be cruel and now you hear about all of these young children killing themselves because of bullies.

Which brings me to the next part of this whole rant.  My friend told me that she follows a makeup blog for Asian girls because they have different eyes so they have to do their makeup a certain way, and they are limited to some things.  On this makeup blog the blogger uploaded a video that she found on youtube.  Now she never responded to the video and it was banned from youtube because of the content but pretty much it was a Caucasian (which I am so ashamed of!) making fun of Asian girls and how they look different and how they are not beautiful.  When she told me this I was outraged!  First of all everyone is different and everyone has their own opinions but to say that a whole entire race of women are “ugly” because they look different is just horrible.  I cannot believe how cruel people can be.  I think Asian women are beautiful and elegant and their fashion sense is incredible and whoever that girl was I actually feel bad for because she obviously can’t see beauty in everything.  We are all beautiful no matter what color, shape, size, or how different we look from one another, in my opinion that girl is not beautiful for how she acted.  Looks are not everything, it’s what’s inside too and the prettiest girl can also be the most hideous if she doesn’t have a heart.

Now onto my normal posting, thanks for hearing me out.

Today I felt like I was ready to go explore and find some elephants and giraffes while looking fabulous.  My one post on here had a very poor picture of my Jeffrey Campbell’s and man do I love these babies.  I call them my elf shoes, they kind of look like it but I think they’re adorable.  I’m already super tall but its ok I’m used to towering over people.

The long cardigan is Ralph Lauren which can be found at my mom’s ebay store www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR she has an assortment of colors, along with the khaki tank top.  She has this really nice emerald green one that I am in love with but I already have so many.  They are such great basic pieces.  The skirt is from Francesca’s Collections.  They had it in a lighter color but for some reason I was drawn to this one, it was so different and Safari’ish.  The shoes are of course Mr. Campbell and I love them! I am fierce, hear me roar!

Well I wanted to start by saying (for those of you who know what Chictopia is) my post from last night made it to the style gallery!  It was such an awesome surprise to wake up to, I really can’t believe it happened.  For those of you who have never heard of chictopia.com it’s a website/blog where people from all around the world upload posts and then they get votes, comments, favorited, followers, or friend requests.  It takes a pretty decent amount to make it to the Style Gallery which is just a page of pictures of recent posts.  It’s similar to the new photo’s page only difference is the style gallery winners have to go through a process by all of the Chictopians, then it goes through the Chictopia team as well.

Anyway enough babbling onto my outfit for today, another office outfit but I work full time and have to wear business casual Monday-Friday.  During the winter we have to wear Business Professional, once the daylight savings goes into effect we can wear Business Casual, weird I know but it’s kind of cool.

Does the belt look familiar?  That would be from a previous post, the Mother’s Day post to be exact.  The one picture where my mom and I look like twins (except in different colors) she has a brown belt on, well it’s the same belt only my mom changed its color to black.  This was one of her first belts that she bought in America when she and my dad came here so it holds a little bit of sentimental value.

The M charm on my necklace I received in the mail yesterday.  My grandma sent it over from Poland, it was actually made in Poland as well which makes it even better!

Why Hello there Sailor!

First and foremost I wanted to take the time to say I absolutely can’t thank my mom enough for putting up with me every day to take pictures.  I wouldn’t be able to run any blogs without her help.  She is also the only person I feel comfortable with when it comes to being in front of a camera.

I love the cardigan and also have it in other colors just because it is so comfortable and so easy to wear.  The blouse I’ve worn a few times.  It’s so easy to dress it up or dress it down.  You can easily make it casual or more professional looking.  It’s a piece I think every woman should have in her closet.  The pants are from Marshall’s.  I absolutely love them.  I love the wide leg cut and the best part is I found long pants!  I’m 5’9 so I’m tall, and the worst part is most of that 5’9 are all leg.  Sadly on top of this problem I am also somewhat bottom heavy (not calling myself fat whatsoever), so this makes finding ANY pants very frustrating and a lost cause.  Finding these pants made my night the night that I went shopping.  They are comfortable and very sleek.  The shoes are Isola, also found at Marshall’s, made in Italy so of course I’m going to buy them, and they are leather.  The clutch is probably my favorite part of the whole outfit.  This is for sure available at my mom’s ebay store.  It’s big so you can fit a lot but it is also pretty thin so it’s easy to hold.  I’m in love with clutches this season.  I’ve seen so many adorable styles and colors and shapes and sizes, I like the bigger ones because they have more room and are such a statement piece.

Lady in Red.

I woke up today and to my surprise it was so much colder than I anticipated.  I think I got spoiled with all the nice weather last week.  Today I’m feeling a little under the weather.  Since it was a little cold outside and I wanted to be cozy because I’m not feeling well I wore a sleeveless sweater and just put a blazer on top.  The cuff is Burberry and even though this is no longer in my mom’s store she does have other Burberry bracelets available at stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR

Hot Pink kind of a Day!

Oh, the wretched “Monday Blues.”  I decided that instead of being gloomy and tired looking because it’s Monday I wanted to spice up my day a little.  I know we all hate Monday’s, there’s always magically double the traffic, have to go back to work, or have to go back to school.  It’s nice to have a weekend to yourself just to relax.  I decided to wear my favorite color pink, but to make it even better HOT pink.

Obviously during the week you dress a little more professional until Friday rolls around.  With my company once daylight savings starts we are able to wear Business Casual on a daily basis rather than just on Fridays, oh but we are NEVER allowed to wear jeans which is a good thing because I’m not a fan of wearing jeans.  I have an awkward body shape so I only have 2 pairs of jeans that are actually comfortable but 4 pairs of jeans all together.  I’m a big fan of skirts and dresses, especially in warm weather so once summertime comes it will be skirt and dress weather!

Happy Mother’s Day

This is the woman who started it all for me.  She is my true fashion icon and I will gladly watch her fashion over anyone else.  She has been my rock for the past almost 26 years and I don’t know where I would be without her by my side.  She is my best friend, my go to person, my favorite fashionista.  She sacrificed so many things in her life just to be with my brother and me.  I am so proud of her and what she has become.  She owns her own business while still continuing to be a stay at home mom and a housewife.  She never sleeps and is constantly running around no matter what.  My mom is my super hero and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us for these next years.  I love you Mamusia!
