I love the weekend. I really really really do. Minus that I catch up on all of my cleaning and what not, but other than that I love it. In today’s post I am going to wear the same outfit but in two different ways. One is more casual than the other.
Well I will FINALLY be uploading my photo shoot pictures done by an awesome photographer. She’s one of my coworkers and she’s just awesome. She actually took a full afternoon/night to take pictures. The best part is she was soooo into it. One day I will show everyone what this beautiful mystery woman behind the lens looks like!
Where to begin, hmm. Today was such a stressful day at work. I can’t even begin to explain how many gray hairs I got from today haha. Since I’m somewhat tired, I will share my pictures now.
These pictures were taken by my house. I live by a lake and my friend and I went to the country club to see if we could take some pretty pictures. I also wanted to show her the beautiful houses back there since she lives some ways away from me. We found this random bridge and she said lets go take pictures.
The top is from Texas. Not sure what brand it is. I actually can’t remember, I needed a going out outfit and found this shirt. It’s not the best quality buuutttt it’s 100% cotton which is what I love! The shorts I bought at Macy’s. They are Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply. They look a lot shorter on the hanger than they do on me. Of course the peep toe flats have made an appearance before, they’re Burberry.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and I can’t wait to upload the rest of the pictures!!

I really need to stop shopping! I shop way too much, I think I have a problem. Actually I bargain shop so I don’t think it’s as bad. Anyway, I bought two pairs of shoes, shorts, and a dress. I’d say they were all for a very good deal, gotta love sales and coupons!!
Anyway, here is a picture of the one tile in Nordstrom. Ok, so my real name is Monika but some people call me Madison. It’s actually funny how I got the name. An old friend met me for the first time and kept calling me Madison and introduced me as Madison. I went along with it but after I said “you know my name isn’t Madison right?” He then got all embarrassed and when I told him my real name he said he’s going to call me Madison because I look more like one. It was fine by me because I actually always loved the name Madison for a girl. So when I saw this tile I had to take a picture and share this silly little story with everyone.
To go shopping I noticed I tend to wear the same Burberry wedges all the time. Probably because they are as comfortable as flip flops but without the beachy look that doesn’t really go with all outfits. The capris are pima cotton (oh my gosh I can’t stop touching them, they are THAT soft). The purple top is Ralph Lauren and I love it because it’s so versatile. Oh and the necklace is silver, real silver, my Grandpa found it when we went on a walk in Poland. It’s funny how you can find such beautiful things.
Anywhoo, short post today I’m a little sleepy. Plus it’s food coma time!
Well I am almost, so very close, on vacation! Boston here I come!
So is anyone else vacationing? What are you packing for your trip? Any special purchase (I love an excuse to shop!)
Also I am terrible at packing ahead of time and everything is always done last minute. I make the lists a few days before and say oh yes I will start packing and it never happens.
Anyways, I am pretty much bringing the essentials and then a few extra things. However I need to keep some extra room in my luggage so in case I bring any goodies back home because I am going thrift shopping! I am crossing my fingers on finding some amazing things and hopefully from the 50’s.
I’m very excited to go to Boston because I need some New England Clam Chowder and my favorite; oysters!
As for my outfit of the day, I have two. One was during work and the other was while I was running some last minute errands. I think if I could I would change outfits more than 2 times a day haha.
Belt//Burberry Prorsum (www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR)
Top// Ralph Lauren (www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR)
Skirt//Ralph Lauren-this one is from many years ago, used to be my mom’s.
Outfit number II:
Super simple for running errands. I wanted to be comfortable, very very comfortable haha.
I will probably go on a few day hiatus from my mini vacation so I wish everyone a happy weekend and if you’re traveling like me happy travels!
Since a lot of people think that NJ is stereotypical like all of those shows. Well these following pictures show you that’s not true. Half of my backyard is actually pure woods. I go back there with my dog because she loves the woods and she loves jumping around and exploring. It makes me so happy to see her as happy as she is when she runs like that. She’s still on the leash because she ran away a few times before so she always has to be on her leash.
What am I wearing?
- Tank top-Ralph Lauren (other colors found at http://www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR)
- Pants-DKNY Boyfriend Jeans
- Sneakers-Converse-Chuck Taylor
What can you wear this for?
- Walking the dog
- Running Errands
- Lounging around
- When you can’t find anything else to wear
Well today’s outfit is EXTREMELY simple and effortless. I was outside for a little bit. Unfortunately I can’t stay under the sun as much as I used to so I hid in the shade for most of the day haha. The hat is Ralph Lauren, I love it because it’s big and perfectly matches my Burberry bathing suit. So I also have on my Burberry cover up skirt and Burberry wedges. If you couldn’t tell I love Burberry and Ralph Lauren. They are my two favorites because they make simple and classic pieces. Don’t get me wrong I love all of the trendy and crazy styles out there today, and the way some of these things are styled are amazing. There are truly some creative fashionistas out there in today’s world.
I hope everyone had a great Sunday Funday, now the dreadful Monday is approaching!
Two outfits for today’s Sunday Funday. I think I have a problem, either I own too many clothes, or I just like to play dress up a little too much a haha, or maybe just both! Either way, I have an addiction to fashion.
1. I wore this on my way back from being away this weekend. Very simple outfit and actually I went for a little walk before leaving and thankfully my outfit was blog worthy so I was able to take some pictures 🙂
- Belt-vintage (mommy’s closet)
- Shoes-Franco Sarto
- Hat-from mommy’s closet
2. This second outfit I wore when I got home. My parents and I wanted to take a nice walk at the boardwalk by our house. We live in the woods so we are surrounded by lakes. There’s a super cute little area where they have little shops, then there are restaurants that make homemade food, or homemade beer (yes I do like beer, not just girly drinks). The best part is there is an AMAZING ICE CREAM SHOP!! That’s my favorite. So we just walked on the boardwalk. The boardwalk actually has some history behind it. When my dad came to America he found this place, took a picture, sent it to my mom with a letter that said “once you get your Visa and make it to America I promise we will live here,” all in Polish of course haha. Well my dad kept his promise. Now onto the outfit!
