So today was a very lazy day. However, since I like Ralph Lauren so much I decided to pair this Ralph Lauren dress with a Ralph Lauren hat. Oh, and let’s not forget the Jeffrey Campbell shoes! The dress and shoes are found at http://www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR It’s a very simple outfit, effortless because my hair was not able to be seen under this hat. It was awesome! My hair has been a hot mess lately so I’ve been needing to tame it down a lot. I have wavy hair, as you can see in these pictures you can’t really tell because I use LOTS of product. Lots of creams and hairspray because I don’t like gels or mousse’s. Gel and mousse leave my hair crunchy for lack of a better word.
Anyway short post, time to spend some movie night time with the family!
So my little doggy makes yet another appearance. I really need to start bringing my other dog into pictures because she’s so goofy looking. She’s half pug half beagle aka puggle. So she’s pretty goofy, however also super stubborn which I have been told by SOOOOOOO many vets and groomers that puggles are stubborn. Anyway on to my outfit 🙂
So the dress is actually handmade, I got an A+ on it for my final. We had to make a few different outfits for my apparel construction class and this was actually the favorite dress that everyone picked out. I was a business major and fashion minor in college so I had to take the basic courses and I will say basics are very beneficial.
Well today was filled with lots of prints. From stripes, to tribal, on to leopard. Somehow it worked out that way for today’s outfits. Yes there are two again. Sorry I really need to stop changing for every occasion haha.
First Outfit-Stripes & Tribal
Well I mixed prints on this outfit, let me know what you think or if it is worthy enough to be considered trendy. The top is Tart from Marshall’s, yoga pants are from Victoria’s Secret, shoes are Jeffrey Campbell, purse is Betsey Johnson, and jewelry is from Forever 21.
Second Outfit-A little pinup feel
The pencil skirt is Ralph Lauren, tank top is also Ralph Lauren, scarf is H&M, sunglasses are Rayban, bag is Louis Vuitton, and shoes are from Charlotte Russe (believe it or not). The shoes were also a Halloween costume from a few years ago, I feel like I’ve been a pinup a few years running now. I just can’t help it, that’s my favorite era.
Two outfits for today’s Sunday Funday. I think I have a problem, either I own too many clothes, or I just like to play dress up a little too much a haha, or maybe just both! Either way, I have an addiction to fashion.
1. I wore this on my way back from being away this weekend. Very simple outfit and actually I went for a little walk before leaving and thankfully my outfit was blog worthy so I was able to take some pictures 🙂
Belt-vintage (mommy’s closet)
Hat-from mommy’s closet
2. This second outfit I wore when I got home. My parents and I wanted to take a nice walk at the boardwalk by our house. We live in the woods so we are surrounded by lakes. There’s a super cute little area where they have little shops, then there are restaurants that make homemade food, or homemade beer (yes I do like beer, not just girly drinks). The best part is there is an AMAZING ICE CREAM SHOP!! That’s my favorite. So we just walked on the boardwalk. The boardwalk actually has some history behind it. When my dad came to America he found this place, took a picture, sent it to my mom with a letter that said “once you get your Visa and make it to America I promise we will live here,” all in Polish of course haha. Well my dad kept his promise. Now onto the outfit!
Well today is of course a casual day because it’s SATURDAY!!! No work, just play. Actually no that’s a lie I do have to work with my mom and her business. So we get to go shopping today. I figured since it will be a day of somewhat leisure I’ll wear something a little more comfortable. The dress/tunic/shirt (not sure what it’s supposed to be) is Ralph Lauren Blue Label, and the best part is it’s silk so it feels soooo nice! The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell and I absolutely love them. They are my elf shoes ^_^ The clutch is Ralph Lauren which can be found at http://www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR and the hat is stolen from my mom’s closet 🙂
So I did find out some good news yesterday. My MRI results came back and I DON’T NEED SURGERY!!! Only thing is I do have something wrong with my knee that can be helped by PT but it’s a syndrome so I will be stuck with it. As long as I don’t have to go under the knife I’m ok. I did find out that I have a cyst on my hand that is benign but if it starts to limit my hand from functioning I will have to get it removed or drained. So everything is going well. I think someone’s watching over me because during the MRI on Wednesday and while waiting at Physical Therapy yesterday I heard the song Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel K and that is my favorite song of all time and it means something to me.
How is everyone’s weekend going so far? Anything interesting going on?
I wanted to take the time to talk about something that bothers me. I work for an Asian company so of course I work with lots of Asians and in my opinion I find that the women are absolutely beautiful they have this soft elegance about them that just catches your attention. My mentor and also my newly found friend talks to me about how growing up she was made fun of for being Asian, people would call her names and make fun of her appearance. I’m Caucasian but was made fun of for being Polish, so even though I can blend in because of my appearance I was also the “dumb polish girl.” Kids can be cruel and now you hear about all of these young children killing themselves because of bullies.
Which brings me to the next part of this whole rant. My friend told me that she follows a makeup blog for Asian girls because they have different eyes so they have to do their makeup a certain way, and they are limited to some things. On this makeup blog the blogger uploaded a video that she found on youtube. Now she never responded to the video and it was banned from youtube because of the content but pretty much it was a Caucasian (which I am so ashamed of!) making fun of Asian girls and how they look different and how they are not beautiful. When she told me this I was outraged! First of all everyone is different and everyone has their own opinions but to say that a whole entire race of women are “ugly” because they look different is just horrible. I cannot believe how cruel people can be. I think Asian women are beautiful and elegant and their fashion sense is incredible and whoever that girl was I actually feel bad for because she obviously can’t see beauty in everything. We are all beautiful no matter what color, shape, size, or how different we look from one another, in my opinion that girl is not beautiful for how she acted. Looks are not everything, it’s what’s inside too and the prettiest girl can also be the most hideous if she doesn’t have a heart.
Now onto my normal posting, thanks for hearing me out.
Today I felt like I was ready to go explore and find some elephants and giraffes while looking fabulous. My one post on here had a very poor picture of my Jeffrey Campbell’s and man do I love these babies. I call them my elf shoes, they kind of look like it but I think they’re adorable. I’m already super tall but its ok I’m used to towering over people.
The long cardigan is Ralph Lauren which can be found at my mom’s ebay store www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR she has an assortment of colors, along with the khaki tank top. She has this really nice emerald green one that I am in love with but I already have so many. They are such great basic pieces. The skirt is from Francesca’s Collections. They had it in a lighter color but for some reason I was drawn to this one, it was so different and Safari’ish. The shoes are of course Mr. Campbell and I love them! And can be found at http://www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR
