The dress is a high low that I accidentally made about 5 years ago. I messed up on the one side of cutting and said eh it’ll be something different, and a few years later it is one of the biggest trends possible! The hat is Ralph Lauren and shoes are Betsey Johnson.
Outfit # 2
Tank top and pants are Ralph Lauren. Jacket is Tahari, shoes are Sam Edelman, and necklace is from Saks.
I’m not going to make this a long post because I’m super sleepy from this stressful day. However, I would like to introduce on this Throwback Thursday (for those of you who have Instagram you know what that is) a dress that I actually blogged a few years ago and I absolutely still love this dress. The dress is from H&M my mom actually made me try it on because I didn’t think it was cute on the hanger until I put it on. The shoes are Sam Edelman, jewelry is Ralph Lauren and purse is Dooney & Bourke. Have a good Thursday!
Totally obsessed with Calvin Harris/Ellie Goulding I need your love right about now, even have my mom singing it!
Oh thank goodness it’s Friday! This week was so stressful, that I even cried. Sorry to prove you wrong Fergie but sometimes big girls DO cry. I mean I guess it’s better for me to cry than to flip out and yell at everyone and their mother. I don’t really know why I cried though, I think I was just way too overwhelmed but I kept counting down the days to today; Friday! I decided since it’s such an awesome day of the week, even though it was raining/overcast, I wore my hot pink blazer, which just so happens to be my favorite. I like this because even though it’s very professional and office-like it’s my favorite color so even a boring old blazer can look cute. Blazer is Tahari, pants are 100% Linen Unkown Brand though, necklace is DIY/handmade by moi. Oh and the extensions I keep forgetting to tell are also made by me, if you’re into sewing just buy a full track and sew the clips on, it’s super easy!
Anyways…I think I decided I might try to add something to my blogs, maybe once a week share some of my favorite things, whether it’s food, hair care, nail trends, organizations, music, or anything else that I’m really into at the moment. I still want this to be a fashion blog but I can only imagine how boring it gets reading the same things and seeing the same pictures of me posted ALL the time.
As you can see in this picture I am holding my lovely little puggle. Actually she’s not so little anymore. She was a rescue from Texas. The title is actually for her. Lately my life has been evolving into something amazing and I started thinking about all of the things I’ve had to overcome to get to where I am now. It wouldn’t have been at all possible without the love and support from my family and the unconditional love from my dog. It is true when they say that it a dog is man’s/woman’s best friend. So essentially, who really rescued who?
As for the outfit, I wore it for a pool party/bbq at my friends apartment today. They have an awesome pool on one of the floors terraces. We grilled and shared some good times. I wore something simple. The dress actually used to be a skirt and I belted it with my Burberry Prorsum belt, along with Sam Edelman leopard print heels Burberry Sunglasses and Juicy Couture clutch.
When I woke up this morning on this lovely Tuesday that felt like a Monday I did my normal routine; go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. On my way to the bathroom I tripped over my Minnie Mouse bag that I got from one of my coworkers when she went to Disney. When I looked at it I had an idea for an outfit.
It was relatively cold this morning and I was having the Monday blues but on a Tuesday, so I wanted something somewhat warm and comfortable. Once I tripped over that bag I saw the colors; red, white, and black. Since I wore red, white, and blue yesterday I figured why not. It was also a hair up kind of day because I have yoga after work today.
I decided on my outfit. Ralph Lauren cardigan and ruffle blouse, which can both be found at www.stores.ebay.com/EWA-BAZAAR along with my Kate Hill black skinny fit pants. Then I added in some accessories. Red Sam Edelman shoes with a vintage belt & Dooney and Bourke bag that I found in my mom’s closet. The belt has made an appearance before but I just love it so much, plus it has that worn in leather feel and look. I love when leather looks worn in, it gives it character.
I hope everyone’s back to work Tuesday was good, hey only three more work days right?
First and foremost I want to put some song lyrics up here for Memorial Day:
I thank God for my life And for the stars and stripes May freedom forever fly Let it ring
Salute the ones who died The ones that give their lives So we don’t have to sacrifice All the things we love
As for my outfit the dress I made myself a few years ago, it’s a high low from 2009. It’s good for any patriotic party because of the red white and blue. The red shoes are Sam Edelman, Hat is Ralph Lauren, Sunglasses are Armani, and bag is Vince Camuto.
Here are also some pictures of what I did today on this Memorial Day. Back on Memorial Day in 1996, it was actually May 27th and one of the greatest men I know was taken from our family, this man was my grandfather. I hope he has seen my brother and my accomplishments over the years and I hope he’s proud. Every year on Memorial Day we go visit his grave which is in a Polish cemetery in PA called Our Lady of Czestochowa. My great grandpa is also buried there, in the veterans lot. May you both RIP, I love you both.
