For those of you who don’t listen/like country (which is fine I listen to every genre of music anyway) my title of this post is from a lovely song by Jason Aldean, Dirt Road Anthem. Jack and Jim are the first names of alcohol. Not only does Mister Aldean have a very deep raspy’ish country voice but he’s not too shabby lookin’ too hehe. Once I started to become obsessed with making it to Texas (even though I came back I love Texas and always will), I started listening to more and more country music. Now down south they don’t just listen to country music it’s a mix of music, but the country music they have is awesome. Each state has their own “flavor” is what I like to call it.
Anyway the inspiration for this song was a blog I stumbled upon a few weeks ago. The blog is called A Fabulous Fete and I suggest you click here and go check it out. The work that Lauren (who is the blog’s author) does is simply amazing. She has so many creative ideas. I have seen many creative diy’s but in my opinion she is the most creative. I would have to say that her blog all around is lovely. The colors and the picture quality are just so beautiful. Ok, well before I ramble about how much I love her blog and blog posts and little creations I want to share a post that she uploaded.
The title is called Whiskey Party Inspiration. Now I’m not a big drinker of alcohol, I’ll have an occasional cocktail, beer, or just Jack & Coke. Now you know why I am in love with this post hehe. Not that I don’t like other posts but this one is I think my favorite. Anyway below is my favorite picture of the post which is not mine it is from Lauren’s blog.
Now, need I say more?
What I love is that Lauren gives step by step tutorials of her creations. I think this blog is wonderful and I am so so so so happy that I stumbled upon it!
Ok, well this dress used to be a skirt. Now I use it as a dress only thing is I belt it. It’s so comfortable and casual and I just love everything all together. Anyway, tonight has been a very long exhausting night so I think I will just leave all of you with pictures of one of my favorite outfits and call it a night.
Well today was a very interesting day. First of all at work I received a bazillion presents. One coworker got me a 3 month early birthday present haha. It’s a Diamond Candle. For those of you who haven’t heard of this amazing invention yet it’s a soy candle and the greatest part is there is a prize inside. It kind of reminds me of cracker jack or the cereals that had prizes at the bottom. Well with this brilliant candle you have to burn it until it reaches a ring. The ring can be priced anywhere from $10, $100, $1,000, to $5,000. This is awesome!!! So I’m actually looking at it right now thinking “Burn baby burn!” Along with that my supervisor brought me red Nine West kitten heel shoes that were a little big for her and I actually fit into them. Then there’s something another coworker brought me. She knows I like pink so when she went to Victoria’s Secret today she brought me back one of the pink dog stuffed animals. I know it was part of the free gift but still it’s pink! Last but not least another coworker actually told one of our clients today not to give her all of the credit for something because I was actually the one who did it. It was so noble and I was very surprised that someone actually would do something like that.
Anyway my title is because I went shopping at Marshall’s today and hit the jackpot! I bought three pairs of shoes, crochet shorts, a top, and last but not least a kettle ball. I need to start working out a little bit. Also I went shopping with my beautiful mommy 🙂
My outfit is very simple. Necklace is from Macy’s, pants are Ralph Lauren, tank top is Ralph Lauren, and flip flops are Ralph Lauren. Bag is vintage Dooney & Bourke. By the way check out my mom’s new obsession that I’m pointing at; her “gnomies.”
The dress is a high low that I accidentally made about 5 years ago. I messed up on the one side of cutting and said eh it’ll be something different, and a few years later it is one of the biggest trends possible! The hat is Ralph Lauren and shoes are Betsey Johnson.
Outfit # 2
Tank top and pants are Ralph Lauren. Jacket is Tahari, shoes are Sam Edelman, and necklace is from Saks.
As you can see in this picture I am holding my lovely little puggle. Actually she’s not so little anymore. She was a rescue from Texas. The title is actually for her. Lately my life has been evolving into something amazing and I started thinking about all of the things I’ve had to overcome to get to where I am now. It wouldn’t have been at all possible without the love and support from my family and the unconditional love from my dog. It is true when they say that it a dog is man’s/woman’s best friend. So essentially, who really rescued who?
As for the outfit, I wore it for a pool party/bbq at my friends apartment today. They have an awesome pool on one of the floors terraces. We grilled and shared some good times. I wore something simple. The dress actually used to be a skirt and I belted it with my Burberry Prorsum belt, along with Sam Edelman leopard print heels Burberry Sunglasses and Juicy Couture clutch.
